Vienna, 1920. The Austro-Hungarian Empire has collapsed. Peter Perg returns home from the Great War, after seven years as a Russian POW. 《长毛检察官》是迪斯尼于1976年所推出的电影，本片是迪斯尼1959年黑白片《长毛狗》（The Shaggy Dog）的续篇，而跟原来第一集不同，这部续集电影则是拍成彩色的，故事人物则接续原来的作品。《长毛检察官》的剧情故事是当初《长毛狗》中变成狗的男孩Wilby Daniels 长大后的故事，这位小时候遭逢奇遇的男子如今已经当上了律师，不但事业有成，还已经娶妻生子。但是，少年时期的梦靥此时居然又回来了！当他正处于入选为地方法院检察官的紧要时刻，他却不知以前害他变成狗的那只魔戒又被人偷走了，而且还已经被人念出了那个封藏多年禁忌的咒语，这咒语的效应再度把 Wilby Daniels 的生活搞的一团乱！忽人忽狗的他必须严守这个秘密不被曝光，否则他走向检察官一职之路恐怕会十分多舛，另外，他也必须查出这一切到底是怎么一回事，为何事隔多年他再度遭逢这莫名其妙的人变狗宿命呢？

这部剧是08年下半年冒出来好得出人意外的爆笑小喜剧。本来作者想拍个电视剧，但找不到真人演出，又找不到动画师帮他画，于是就自己摸索著用动画软体做了个短片，然后拿去参展，竟然被HBO看上，就此搬上萤幕，成为继Flight of the Conchords后，HBO又一最新喜剧杰作。本剧围绕主人公TIM的工作生活展开，讲述了这个囧男每天被同事调侃，被女友折腾，被朋友涮锅的种种窘事。整集25分钟的动画，虽说没有笑的前仰后合，不过一直是让人欲笑还抑之的状态。虽然画面很简单，甚至可以用简陋来形容，不过精彩诙谐的对白完全弥补了画面的缺憾，甚至使原本简单的画面更透出一股灵气。更加值得一提的是，本剧的配音演员口齿清晰，发音纯正，语速虽然快，不过用词简单，是难得的学习口语的优秀教材。不过先提一下，毕竟是成人动画，所以有些段子还是有点颜色的，不要把它想象成PG或者是G级别的动画。
